Sr. Manager, Internal Audit – Parsippany

Job Summary: We currently have an opening for a Senior Manager, Internal Audit in our Parsippany, New Jersey location, who will manage the SOX/J-SOX audit function, and identify, define and resolve SOX auditing issues. This position will ensure that risks to the company are understood, evaluated and managed appropriately. The Senior Manager will assess and analyze operations, perform risk assessments, and perform tests of key internal controls. Additionally, this position will develop and implement the company's financial, operational and information technology audit strategies, and plan and execute the annual Audit Plan and the associated internal control-based risk assessment.

Responsibilities: As Senior Manager, Internal Audit, you will be responsible for performing internal audit testing and investigation as necessary in connection with J-SOX/SOX requirements, clinical trial issues, and the regulatory and financial aspects of internal investigations of potential violations of company policies and regulations. You will manage audit resources, oversee the creation of an internal controls database, develop audit test plans, report on test results, and communicate results to external accountants. You will review, audit and analyze documents related to product development and clinical issues for compliance. You will be responsible for providing significant advice and counsel, which stakeholders will use as a basis for decision making. You will manage all phases of individual audits, integrate progressively more diverse auditing activities, and ensure that audit standards are adhered to during the audits. In this role, you will develop a robust fraud detection program, and arrive at plans to act upon the findings of that program. Additionally, you will manager investigation of fraud as assigned by the Compliance Officer and as identified by the fraud detection program, and perform and managed all phases of the investigations.

Education/Experience Requirements: Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree. CPA or CFE is preferred. You must have at least 7-10 years of audit experience, including financial, information technology, operational and compliance auditing in addition to fraud investigations and experience managing work directly relating to Sarbanes Oxley compliance.

You must possess a breadth of knowledge of auditing various matters, as well as strong technical competencies in accounting, information technology, and financial, operational, fraud and information technology auditing. You must have the ability to earn the trust of internal and external stakeholders, address issues, interact effectively to enact changes, and be a self starter. It is required that you have prior experience reporting to Audit Committees and making presentations to senior management. You must have working knowledge of OIG/FDA and industry guidance on healthcare compliance. It is essential that you have the ability to interview personnel and obtain facts to be compared with other supporting evidence. Experience in computer databases such as Access is required.
