Job Summary:
This position performs all activities related to the development and validation of Sales Operations related reports, analyses and ad-hoc queries, and production reports to support Sales Operations, Sales Management, Field Sales, Marketing, Market Planning, and Market Research. This position develops and maintains reporting and testing standards for the department, monitoring compliance with these standards. This position also provides support and oversight to other Reporting Analysts and Market Research/Planning Analysts for the development of reports, analyses, and ad-hoc queries. Per assigned business responsibility this position interacts with field and home office personnel to understand the business information needs and documents necessary reporting requirements. Additionally, this position acts as the key “go to person” for resolving reporting and report testing issues. Finally, this position interprets key business reports providing business insights/cause effect pertaining to the reported information.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will work with internal and external Daiichi Sankyo (DSI) constituents, third party service providers, and Sales Operations as you manage and fulfill DSI's reporting projects. You will determine project scope, information needs, effort and timelines, and monitor for timely delivery. You will work with and guide other reporting analysts, third parties, and other department’s analysts in the development of reporting specifications and reports. You will translate business information needs into reporting specifications, developing and validating these reports as per the specifications. Additionally, in this position, you will provide value-added analysis (e.g. market insights, trend, variance) to management, giving interpretations of the information being reported. You will develop and execute test plans and provide support during user acceptance activities. Working with management, you will manage the process to move appropriate reports into production and will assist in the review of documentation of other analysts. Lastly, in this position, you will establish documentation standards and maintain central documentation related to report requirements, run frequencies and delivery mechanisms. You will ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner and within budget, performing additional duties as required. 10% domestic travel required.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Business Administration, Quantitative Methods, Market Research, Information Management or a related field. MBA preferred. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a Sales Operations function in the pharmaceutical industry supporting the hospital and/or specialty field organization, and 3-4 years of experience should include report development. It is essential that you have excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. You must be proficient with computers, including extensive experience with report writing software and Microsoft Office Suite. It is imperative that you have experience with at least two of the following: decision support, data warehousing, management reporting, and sales force automation. Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Syndicated Data, such as DDD, Xponent/Xponent PlanTrak, and proficiency with Business Objects, SPSS/SAS and SFA is a plus.
